CAPE EGMONT GOLF
DANCE CONCLUDES SEASON. PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES. A successful dance and presentation of trophies won during the season, concluded the season for members of the Cape Egmont Golf Club. A large number of visitors from neighbouring clubs attended and a most enjoyable evening was spent. Mrs. Malcolm supplied the music for the dance, with extras by Mr. M. O’Neill. Before presenting the trophies the president, Mr. R. B. Fleming, expressed pleasure at seeing so many visitors present, and took the opportunity of voicing his appreciation of the generous support accorded the various gatherings held during the season, particularly by the members of neighbouring golf clubs. After briefly reviewing the season’s activities Mr. Fleming said he wished particularly to thank the donors of trophies, evidence of their interest in the club’s progress being manifest •in handsome array of trophies which it was his privilege to present. Members also were to be thanked for their loyal support and interest displayed in the competitions. The following trophies won during the season were presented:— Tahoma Cup: A. Thome and Miss E. Fleming, B. S. Dudley and Miss B. Fleming, equal; runners-up, R. B. Fleming and Miss I: Gray. Gray Handicap Cup (presented by E. H. Gray): Mrs. E. H. Gray; runner-up, Miss M. Brophy. Moss Handicap Cup (presented by H.
C. Moss): K. P. Tompkins; runner-up, A. Roots. Brophy trophy (presented by T. Brophy): L. Beardmore; runner-up, B. Brophy. . Ladies’ senior championship: Miss B. Fleming; runner-up, Mrs. E. _H. Gray. Ladies’ junior championship: Miss C. Brophy; runner-up, Miss P. SmithMen’s senior championship: R. B.- Fleming; runner-up, A. Roots. . - . ... Men’s junior championship-. ...J. ,W. Priest; runner-up, L. Beardmore.....
