CAMPAIGN CONCLUDED
CONCERT IN ST. ANDREW’S HALL. LARGE STRATFORD ATTENDANCE. St. Andrew’s Hall, Stratford, was packed to capacity on Monday night, when a concert as held to conclude a special campaign for consecration and selfsacrifice which has extended over the last few months. The Rev. J. McGregor, who has conducted the campaign, in which he was assisted by various ministers from all parts of Taranaki, presided. Numerous items were given, the programme being as follows: Instrumental numbers, Mr. Rogers and party; vocal numbers, MisSsMcCormack and Mr. P. T. Aitken; elocutionary items, Mr. W. J. Hall and Miss Sally Henderson; violin solo, Master Garnet Harre; pianoforte duet, Miss Sally Henderson and Mr. Cyril Henderson. The outstanding portion of the programme came at the conclusion, when a sacred play, the dramatisation of “Awakening,” in two acts, was presented. All the co'stumes were true to detail, and the parts were excellently acted. Fine singing that added greatly to the effect of the play was given by Mrs. E. McCullough and Mr. Aitken in the solos and anthems. The players were Mrs. McCullough, Misses J. and H. Bremner, Kay, M. Smart, M. Phillips, S. McCready, S. Cook, and C. Anderson, Messrs P. T. Aitken, G. Bain and R. Watkins. Short addresses were given by Rev. D. Maclvor, Rev. J. Ry bum (Eltham), Mrs. Percy Thomson arid Dr. D. Steven.
