LIGHT CAR CRASHES

SPECTATORS SERIOUSLY INJURED. DRIVER AND MECHANIC CRITICAL. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Rec. 6.30 p.m. Sydney, Nov. 25. Skidding while racing at 70 miles an hour, a light car yesterday dashed into a safety fence at the Maroubra speedway, flinging in all directions the spectators who were leaning over the fence. Nine were badly injured and two are not expected to recover. Mr. Murray Maxwell, aged 24, the driver of the car, and Mr. Jaimes Margot, aged 28, the mechanic, are in a critical condition.
