At Rugby Union, Oxford University 12 defeated Stanley’s XV. 7. In the county championship Monmouthshire 16 beat Glamorgan 11. The Rugby League Council disallowea New Zealand’s demand for compensation regarding Hardgrave and Hall on the grounds that they were Northern League players. The question of compensating Shultz, Turner and others will be decid ■ cd later.
