PRISONERS SENTENCED
CRIMES AT WELLINGTON .

Wellington, Nov. 22-
Prisoners were sentenced to-day by the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, as follow:—
Hugh Rupert Austin, for breaking, entering and theft (four charges), 12 months’ reformative detention on each charge terms to be concurrent. John Barnard, for attempted unlawful carnal knowledge, 12 months’ probation and to pay the costs of the prosecution (£5 6s 6d).
Leslie George Parmenter, for breaking, entering and theft (three charges), thee years’ hard labour on each of the two charges of theft and a year’s hard labour for breaking and entering all sentences to be concurrent.
