WAIKATO COUNTY CONCERNED. REMAND IN THE GISBORNE COURT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Gisborne, Nov. ,17. In the police court to-day Frederick Francis Charles O’Connor, aged 26, appeared on. a chars- that at Hamilton on October 11, with intent to defraud, he obtained from the Waikato County Council a cheque for £lO 7s 3d by means of false pretence that he was E. Coleman, farmer, Matangi, and that the amount was due to him for royalty on his land. He was remanded till next Saturday.
