KAPONGA’S big score easy defeat OF power board. DORMER’S SPLENDID BOWLING Compiling the biggest score for the season in southern division cricket, Kaponga easily defeated Power Board at Kaponga by 311 for nine Wickets to 118. Features Of the match were Dormer’s bowling, Lendrum’s batting and the allround strength of the Kaponga side. Power Board batted first, but Apart from Lendrum, Sargeson And Cambie, the men were not inspiring. Lendrum’s limings was fine And he scored five boundaries ahd one fiVe. Dormer at times was unplayable, though he had only one maiden in ten overs. Kaponga quickly set about the runs, and passed Power Board’s total .with five wickets to fall. V. Betts hit nine boundaries, Dormer eight and S. Betts six, while Reg. Eden and Coiirt both hit lustily. Seven bowlers were tried by Buist, who himself secured the best figures.
