Auckland, Nov. 17.

Dr. James Moffatt, the noted Biblical authority, who arrived to-day, said that the repeal of prohibition in America had done a great deal for temperance. The Americans were not abusing their liberty. The country was never more sober than now. He thought he detected evidence of more temperance in other countries also.
