BELL BLOCK REUNION
PREPARATIONS PROGRESSING. The final of a series of euchre parties and dances organised by the Bell Block school reunion committee was well attended on Saturday. Euchre was played in the supper-room under the supervision of Messrs. L. J. Rundle and J. Bethell. Mrs. W. Rowe won the women’s prize after tieing with Mrs. L. Holmes. Mr. L. Giddy won the men’s prize. Music for dancing was played by Messrs. Rowe and Watson (piano and violin) with extras by Mr. Hills. Mr. Colin . Hoskin was. master During the evening Mr. L. J. Rundle won by Mr. Hill and Miss May Morgan, of ceremonies. A Monte Carlo waltz was apologised for the absence of the chair • man, Mr. H. D. Macdonald, and Mrs. Macdonald. He expressed pleasure at seeing so many present and explained the forms of entertainment arranged for the reunion next March. He also paid tribute to the work of the energetic secretary of the committee, Mr. J. Bethell, in arranging the roll calls and in his work generally in connection with the reunion. Mr. L. M. Oman, Wellington, spent the week-end with his ron, Mr. L. Oman, and Mrs. Oman. Master Colin Sole is an inmate of the New Plymouth hospital.
