FARMERS’ CO-OP.

EFFICIENT FARM IMPLEMENTS. EXHIBITS OF MOTOR TRUCKS. Machinery of vital importance to all sections of the farming industry, including some of the latest models produced by overseas firms of international repute has been included in a comprehensive display arranged by the Farmers’ Cooperative Organisation Society for the Egmont show to-day and to-morrow. To the left on entering the main gate are displayed the efficient Burt and Hutchinson rams and the Anderson water pumps. The tanks used to demonstrate the working of these pumps and rams are the product of the Hume Pipe Company. . A little farther on, towering high above the other exhibits, are the sturdy Hyslop and Fabish stackers. Easy to erect, easy to work and easy to dismantle, these stackers are the last word in efficiency. Several new improvements are also shown in the “Harvos” Tumbler Sweep. Federal distributors, Ideal harrows and McCormick-Deering implements naturally form a big section of the display. Many new features are embodied in the Federal Distributors, the principal ones being the new driving shaft, which gives extra strength to the driving pinions, and a long cold rolled steel axle. This machine has the lightest draught of any machine of its size. One has but to look at the Ideal harrow to realise its tremendous capabilities. Made from the best cast steel, so that the teeth can be renewed, this harrow will serve its purpose for many years. Two hay rakes, one side rake and tedder, and a 4-wheel power-life sweep rake are the products of the McCor-mick-Deering Company. These models illustrate the class of equipment making for all-round improvement in farming methods. A McCormick-Deenng enclosed gear mower is also exhibited. The entire mechanism of this machine runs in a bath of oil. It is quiet,, compact, light-running, durable and simple, and is thought by many experienced farmers to be the finest mower ever conbracket of the Wolseley sheep shearing machine is also on view. This bracket embodies all the best features of every other overhead gear and has many distinctive advantages of its own. It is strong and wellbalanced without having undue weight to cause vibration. Last, but by no means least, are the models of the International speed trucks. These are built to give transportation satisfaction to owners. Materials, workmanship, designs and inspection are based entirely upon service—ton miles at low cost hauling. See all these and check their many new features.
