IN LUCKNOW SIEGE

ONE OF LAST INDIAN SURVIVORS. BURIED IN RESIDENCY CEMETERY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.' —Copyright. Rec. 7 p.m. Calcutta, Nov. 10. The death has occurred of Mr. Frederick Lincoln, one of the last survivors in India of the siege of Lucknow. He was buried in the Residency cemetery, which is reserved for mutiny survivors. Military honours were accorded his funeral. Mr.' Lincoln, a well-known lawyer, was bom at Lucknow in 1855. He was under three years of age when the Residency was besieged, his father being district judge at Sitapur. Mr. Lincoln’s death leaves Mr. A. G. Campagnac, Calcutta, the only Lucknow siege survivor in India. Of the eight others, six are in England, one in British Columbia and one, Sir Ralph Couper, in Australia.
