GENERAL EXPULSIONS

JOURNALISTS SENT OUT OF SPAIN. RESULT OF THE RECENT STRIFE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 7 p.m. London, _ Nov. 9. Constant complaints regarding information published abroad are being made by the Spanish newspapers and have culminated in the arrest of many newspaper correspondents. Mr. Reginald. Calvert, the Daily Telegraph’s correspondent, was taken from his home, but the British embassy later secured his release. Mademoiselle Thierry, correspondent for L’Oeuvre, was arrested and expelled, due, it is believed, to articles on the Catalonian situation. Other journalists have been arrested and expelled from Spain as undesirables.
