DEATH OF EASTWOOD AFTER RACE. MANETHO NOT INTERFERED WITH. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Nov. 9. Evidence that Arthur H. Eastwood, rider of Manetho in the Jockey Club Handicap at Riccarton on Wednesday when he received fatal injuries, was kicked by Manetho in the horse's struggles to rise was given at an inquest this morning. After the coroner, Mr. E. D. Mosley, had heard the evidence of L. G. Morris the inquest was further adjourned. Morris said that the accident happened in a flash. There was no interference with Manetho other than his striking the horse in front of him.
