While fishing off the town wharf, Tauranga, Mr. C. Webber, Auckland, hooked a large "stingray, which fought determinedly for half-an-hour before it was landed. After it was hooked it took three men to hold it, and the use of a dingy had to be requistioned before it was killed. The stingray was 7ft. long and 4ft. lOin. widei s Extraordinary value in a line of art silk organdie voile, 36in. wide, is now being sold at Scanlan’s Melbourne Corner. The price, 1/3 yard, is ridiculously low, yet the material, has all the appearance and “handle” of voile at twice the price. The printing -is excellent, wear is guaranteed, and it will make up most attractively. Patterns furnished on application.*
