NEW LIBRARY FOR CAMBRIDGE. ONE VOLUME WORTH £50,000. (British Official Wireless.) Rec. 5 p.m. Rugby, Oct. 16. A new university library for Cambridge, containing more than 1,500,000 volumes arranged on shelves 40 miles long, will be opened by the King on Monday. One of the greatest treasures is a 42-leaf Bible printed in Mainz in 1456 which is insured for £50,000. The library, designed by Sir Gilbert Scott, has been built at a cost of £300,000.
