HEAVY RAIN AT FIRST
CHANGE TO SOUTH SOON.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be cloudy to overcast, with general rain developing, says to-day’s forecast. Some heavy falls are likely. Temperatures will become colder and snow is probable on the ranges. A deep depression is advancing from the Tasman Sea on to New Zealand. Barometers are rising again over eastern Australia. Fresh to strong northerly winds are probable at first, but a change to southerlies will set in shortly in the south, becoming general within about 24 hours. Seas will be rather rough to rough.
