HIGH STANDARD OF EXHIBITS. WINNERS OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS; By Telegraph—Press Association. Hastings, Last Night. The Hawkes Bay spring show opened to-day in fine weather, with an exceptionally large attendance for a first day. The entries were not up to the record figure, due partly to the gale in Wairarapa, but nevertheless the standard oi the stock exhibited was high. The following championships were awarded: Horses.
