SOCCER FOOTBALL

FINAL MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. NO ENTERTAINMENT AT AUCKLAND. Tire final meeting of the Taranaki Football Association was held last night. There were present Messrs. J. W. Hollows, W. J. Hollows, R. Rae, R. J. Page, H. Millar, W. Chapman (secretary) and by invitation Messrs. L. Sturmey, J. Crawford, P. Wilmhurst and G., Gillies. .

Mr. Rae reported on the representative team’s Auckland visit and members’ complained of the arrangements made for accommodation. The lack of a dinner after the match was also a subject for comment. It was felt that the social side of the visit was absolutely lost. Mr. Hollows said he understood there was to be a dinner but the Auckland Association had apparently made no arrangements and the team had arranged its own entertainment after the match. Mr. Johnson thought there should have been a dinner but considered the association had been very liberal in other directions. •No action was taken. On the suggestion tof Mr. Johnson, the secretary was instructed to advise all clubs that clubs failing to pay affiliation fees would have no share in the control of the Taranaki Association. A vote of thanks to. Mr. Hollows for the use of his rooms during the season was carried by acclamation.
