TENNIS CLUB DANCE

MIDHIRST DISTRICT NEWS. The second of a series of dances organised by the Midhirst Tennis Club was held last Tuesday, when a large crowd included visitors from as far as Opunake. The walls of the hall were decorated with miniature tennis courts. Hooker’s Merrymakers played the music and extras were supplied by Messrs. Candish and Stewart Gordon. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss Nelson and Mr. Stewart. Masters' of ceremonies were Messrs. W. H. Platt and A. Jensen. Mrs. J. Schumacher and Mrs. W. Pane, Opunake. have returned from a few days at Te Kuiti.
