WORLD’S RECORDS IN ATHLETICS
RECENTLY-APPROVED AMATEUR • PERFORMANCES Thirty-four new athletic records for the world were approved by the International Amateur Athletic Federation at a congress in Stockholm a few weeks ago. Sixteen of these new records are held by United States athletes, Ben Eastman, of California, alone claiming six. The records approved include some which were established only a week or two before the federation’s congress. The full list of new records is as follows:— RUNNING. 440 Yards—B.
