WAITARA WINS AGAIN. M. WHITE’S GOOD PERFORMANCE. Central collapsed in the North Taranaki primary school cricket competition against the' bowling of M. and B. White, the brothers who routed Fitzroy last week, and could only tally 17, Bennett, seven, top scoring. M. White took seven wickets and B. White three. Waitara, mainly as the result of a -hard-hitting innings of 92 by Andrews and a good 23 from M. White, compiled the good score of 160. Martin took four wickets for Central. Waitara won by 143 rims on the first innings. FITZROY TOO GOOD. Fitzroy rattled up 75 in its first innings, althoflfWale and McKenna bowled extremely well to take six for 18 and three for 17 ■ respectively. Tanner, 27, Adams, 15, and Collinson, 13, batted well. Tanner, five for 5, and Collinson, five for 8, were too effective for Convents young batsmen and only Lagar and Patton with four each could do much towards the total of 13. Fitzroy won by 62 runs on the first innings. ✓ WEST END VICTORIOUS. West End won an even match by 23 runs on the first innings at Sanders Park yesterday afternoon. West End batted first and made 44, Elder.scoring 14. Mil-' ler took seven wickets for Westown. McKenzie, seven, was top-scorer in Westown’s tally of 21, Elder, Main and Parsons dividing the wickets. West End failed in its second innings, reaching 30, Parsons scoring 13. Miller and Bigwood took four wickets, each. When stumps were drawn Westown needed nine to win, having compiled 41 for the loss of no wickets. Hartley and Bigwood hit out merrily for 22 and 15 respectively.

MATCHES IN NORTH TARANAKI. In the southern B grade cricket competition Manaia Convent _ defeated Manaia B by. 10 runs. Manaia batted first and made 29 runs, R. Crompton with 20 being top scorer. J. Bourke and R. Christie secured the wickets. _ In the second innings Manaia did a little better, making 34 runs. Ingram with 12 was the only one to make double figures. Bourke and Christie again secured the wickets. Convent in the first innings made 43 runs, R. Christie and Andreoli making the majority with 18 arid 11 respectively, Hosey and Butler secured the wickets. In the second innings Convent made 30 runs. R. Christie with 21 scored the bulk of the total. Hosey secured five of the wickets. Manaia A visited Okaiawa and played the B team, defeating it by 17 runs.
