SQUEEZED BY TRUCKS
RAILWAY PORTER INJURED. TAKAPAU STATION ACCIDENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. A crushed chest and ribs were suffered by a railway porter, Richard Steele, at Takapau this afternoon. During shunting the buffers of two waggons overlapped and Steele stepped in to remedy the defect, being squeezed between the two waggons. He is progressing satisfactorily in hospital at Waipukurau.
