MANAIA GOLF LINKS CLOSED. PRESENTATION OF THE TROPHIES. The closing day for the Manaia Golf Club was held last Wednesday, when there was a large number present. L. Bishop advanced to the semi-final of the Hawera golf club’s senior championship at the week-end by defeating R. S. Ward 4 up and 3. Ward failed to produce the golf which took him through the .previous rounds and Bishop needed only steady figures to win the match. The winner is a strong contender for the tide. The. other semi-final between W. ,G. Walkley and J. Tarrant has yet to be played, v In the junior championship J. C. Robb defeated R. Thrush to enter the final, where he will meet J. Spedding. The score was 5' up and 4 and Robb; the steadier player, always had the upper hand. MANAKORIHI CLUB CLOSING. CANADIAN FOURSOME RESULT.
