WORKER FOR CHURCH

DEATH OF MRS. H. SYMONS. PROMINENT RAHOTU METHODIST. Mrs. H. Symons, who died recently, spent all her girlhood and short married life at Rahdtu, where she was greatly esteemed by all. A constant attendant at the Methodist Church, she was a great worker, organist and Sunday school teacher and member of the Bible Society. The funeral at Te Henui cemetery, New Plymouth, was very large, Rahotu being well represented. Besides her husband and parents, she leaves four sisters, Mesdames Dale, Timaru, G. Dawson, Kahui Road, A. Raynor, Toko, and Miss Hughson, Rahotu, and five brothers, Messrs. G. Hughson, Otahuhu, T. P. Hughson and R. Hughson, Opunake, M. Hughson, Stratford, and Gordon Hughson, Huntly. A memorial service was held in the Methodist Church last night.
