MEN UNNECESSARY

The i orld of the future without a man l e ft_all exterminated by the female sex —was the prophecy made at a meeting in England recently by Professor W. A. F. Balfour-Browne, president of the Royal Microscopical Society, states a London journal. He said he took his cues from a study of insect life. Females dominated insect life, and he had noticed recently “femaleness” developing in human males, and “maleness” developing in females. It appeared to him that the time wquld come when the female would not ohly dominate, but discover means of getting rid of the male altogether. “It will be possible,” said Professor Balfour-Browne, “to get on quite well without males at all.” Insects had discovered birth control long ago, and he thought that the human race was returning to the line of social life of the insect.
