EUCHRE PARTY SERIES ENDS. PERSONAL AND GENERAL ITEMS. The final euchre party was held in the Pukearuhe hall on Wednesday evening. Owing to the boisterous weather there was only a fair attendance, the prizes being won by Miss Beulah Luxton and Mr. A. Balsom. On Friday afternoon the Mimi school’s basketball and football teams visited the Pukearuhe school. The Mimi girls won their match, while the home boys de-

feated the Mimi. Mrs. Kemp and Mrs. L. Herbert entertained the teachers and teams at afternoon tea. Miss Wells and Miss Deacon were the guests of Mrs. H. Wells for the weekend. Mrs. S. Purdie is an inmate of a private hospital at New Plymouth. Mrs. A. Cocker’s little daughter Joy has retvrned from hospital. Mr. P. Blake was a visitor to Pukearuhe for the week-end. Mr. J. Macdonald has returned from a week’s holiday at Rahotu. Miss A. Lambert has returned from a long holiday at Te Kuiti.
