DEATH OF MR. T. C. LIST

LOSS TO FARMING INTERESTS. The loss to the farming community of Taranaki and to the whole of New Zealand by the death of Mr. T. C. List was referred to by Mr. H. E. Blyde, president of the North Taranaki provincial executive of the Farmers’ Union at yesterday’s meeting. Mr. List had taken great interest in all rural matters, said Mr. Blyde. He believed Mr. List was the instigator of the scheme for bringing English public schoolboys to New Zealand and placing them in employment on Taranaki farms. Mr. List had been interested in anything concerning the backblocks and lost no opportunity of giving publicity to the backblocks farmers’ difficulties.
