Mrs. Cavanagh is the guest of Mrs. W. Back at Whenuakura. Miss L. Adams will leave to-day for a holiday at Masterton. Mrs. G. Mellor left yesterday for a fortnight’s holiday at Auckland. Mrs. T. E. Roberts has returned from a holiday at Auckland. Miss S. Power is to spend her annual holiday at Napier. Mrs. A. Parkin has returned to Tangarakau. She was Mrs. A. Smiles’ guest. Mrs. M. A. Currie, who has been Mrs. A. B. Currie’s guest, has returned to Wanganui. Mrs. W. Lester is visiting Palmerston North, where she is the guest of Mrs. C. McMeekan. Mrs. C. A. Larcombe, who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. McGuinness at Onaero, returned to Patea yesterday. Mrs. Besky and Miss M. Besky, Auckland, accompanied by Mrs. Besky, senr., Alton, will return to Auckland next week. 'Mrs. W. F. Sheild and Mrs. G. I. Paterson were judges of flower and cooking exhibits at Kakaramea this week. Mrs. M. Carey is at Wanganui, where an operation performed on her eyes yesterday is reported as having been successful. Miss L. Carey accompanied her mother to Wanganui.
