REPLACING STATION 4YA

10 KILOWATT TRANSMITTER PLAN.

3YA POWER TO BE INCREASED.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Sept. 13.

The New Zealand Broadcasting Board announces that a 10 kilowatts transmitter will be erected at Highcliffe, on the Otago Peninsula, to replace the present station 4YA.

It is also intended to increase the irower of the 3YA transmitter at Gebbie’s Pass from 2i to 10 kilowatts at an early date. Provision was made for this increase when the present plant was installed.
