ELTHAM PLUNKET WORK. NURSE’S REPORT FOR MONTH. A report on the recent Plunket conference was given by Mrs. Masters, Stratford,.to a meeting of the Eltham Plunket Society on Tuesday. The nurse reported that 95 children under five years were under- supervision and 119 under two years. Thirty visits were made to homes, and 115 adults, 109 babies and 31 children visited the rooms. There were eight new cases. ELTHAM RED CROSS WORK. PROCEEDS OF ENTERTAINMENT. The sum of £l5 11s had been realised as the result of a street collection and an entertainnjent, it was reported to the monthly meeting of the Eltham Red Cross on Tuesday. It was decided to forward the amount as a levy to the head office, as well as £5 to the South Taranaki centre towards the district nurse fund. It was decided to ask the children of the district to knit squares for making into bed rugs for distribution to Eltham distressed families. Mesdames Muggeridge and Reakes were appointed to make up parcels at the relief depot during October and Mesdames Muggeridge and Allen were appointed to distribute them. It was decided to send congratulations to the Hawera V.A.D. team on winning the Collins Cup.
