MACHINES FOR THE AIR RACE ( No . 4)-The Douglas airliner, entered by the Dutch Air Line Company, K.L.M., is considered to have a very bright chance in the speed race. The Douglas is one of the outstanding commercial machines in the United States, and with sixteen passengers and freight , averages over. 200 m.p.h. on regular service runs. The Dutch to use a relay of pilots ’ all of whom, are fully experienced in longdistance flying.
