The “N.D.A.” the annual conference of which was for long known as the “dairyfarmers’ Parliament” was formed in Taranaki in 1894, when a meeting of dairy factory representatives was held at Hawera. Mr. B. C. Robins, Hawera, was organiser of the movement and was the first secretary of the National Dairy Association, but held the position for a few weeks only. Mr. George Finn was then appointed secretary and removed to Wellington to-take up his duties.
