POLAND AND LOCARNO
REFUSAL ENDANGERS PROJECT. By Telegraph—Press Assn—Copyright. Rec. 9.20 p.m. London, Sept. 10. Poland by refusing to join the proposed eastern Locarno pact brought the project to the verge of collapse, according to Geneva telegrams. This caused Great Britain and France to renew their efforts to persuade Poland to modify its attitude. The eastern Locarno pact seems the only present hope of reviving the Disarmament Conference.
