ARMY OFFICER’S TRAINING
TWO YEARS’ COURSE IN ENGLAND. CAPTAIN D. MAXWELL SELECTED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Wellington, Sept. 7. The Government has decided to dispatch a New Zealand Defence Force officer to England for training, Captain D. T. Maxwell, of the staff corps of the permanent military forces, being selected to undergo two years’ course at the Camberley Staff College. It is expected he will leave on November 9 by the Tamaroa. The Hon. J. G. Cobbe, Minister of Defence, said the course Captain Maxwell would undertake embraced the study or' higher branches of the science of war, and was designed also to qualify the officer in staff duties. Captain G. H. Clifton, of the New Zealand staff corps, at oresent at Camberley. will complete his term there at the end of this year.
