RESULTS OF BELFAST HANDICAP. HOUSES IN TOWNS SANDBAGGED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 6.45 p.m. London, Sept. 1. The Belfast tourist trophy handicap resulted: C. Dodson, M.G. Magnette, 74.75 miles an hour, 1; E. Hall, Bently, 78.40 miles an hour, 2; T. Fotherington, Aston-Martin, 74.53 miles an hour, 3. The Hon. Brien Legis, Lagonda, 77.57 miles an hour, 4. v Forty started. It was a thrilling race, with speeds approaching 100 miles an hour through towns where buildings were protected by sandbags. There were many minor accidents.
