W. Rodden, secretary of the Kairanga Dairy Company for the past ten years, has been appointed assistant -manager in London for the New Zealand Dairy Board, states a Press Association message from Palmerston North. Mr. N. M. Smith, Wellington, has been appointed manager of the newly-estab-lished branch of the Bank of New South Wales at Rotorua, relieving Mr. N. M. Hendry, of the inspecting staff of the bank, who was acting as temporary manager.

Major-General Sir Andrew Russell, Dominion president of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association, and the Hon. W. Perry, M.L.C., Dominion vicepresident, will attend the biennial conference at Melbourne, from October 25 to November 9, of the British Empire Service League.
