AVERAGE FALL OF RAIN
INGLEWOOD AND “RIVERSDALE.” ' The rainfall at Inglewood for August totalled 8.72 inches, just about the average, with rain on 19 days, with the heaviest fall, 1.48 inches, on the 22nd. For the corresponding month of last year 8.17 inches fell on 18 days with two falls of .over an inch. The wettest August experienced since the rainfall has been registered at Inglewood was that of 1927, when 11.72 inches fell on 22 days. The driest August was in 1918 when 4.61 inches fell on 16 days. At “Riversdale” for August, 1934, 8.69 inches, also near the average, fell on 19 days with the heaviest fall, 1.54 inches, on the 22nd. For August, 1932, 8.72 inches were registered. The wettest August experienced was in 1893 when 26.92 inches fell and the driest was in 1914, when 2.30 inches were recorded.
