DEACONESSES APPOINTED

PRESBYTERIAN APPOINTMENTS. Under the provisions Of the Marriage Act, 1908, the names of several deaconesses of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand as officiating ministers were published in the New Zealand Gazette last night. They are: Sister Jessie Alexander (Sister Jessie), Sister Jessie Shaw (Sister Aileen), Sister Lucy Jane Hazel Bruce (Sister Hazell), Sister Euphemia White Doull (Sister Doull), Sister Flora Peattie Fraser (Sister Flora), Sister Mamie Gardiner (Sister May), Sister Annie Henry (Sister Annie), Sister Jane Annie Spence (Sister Alison), Sister Edith Alma Walker (Sister Edith).
