ACCOUNTANTS’ COMPLAINT
EFFECT OF COMPANIES ACT. PETITION TO PARLIAMENT. (By Wire— Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Night. Objection to the restrictions placed by the Companies Act of last year on persons who may act as company auditors is taken by the Accountants’ Protection Society of Auckland and other accountants from various parts of New Zealand in a petition presented to the House of Representatives to-day. The petitioners- claim that they have been unjustly treated in that they have been prevented by the terms of the Act from accepting further audits. The Act, it is claimed, infringes the right of the people to select the auditors they desire to. engage.
