MOTOR REGULATION BREACHES. In the Inglewood Magistrate’s Court before Mr. ,W. H. Woodward, S.M., several breaches by motorists were punished. The informations were laid by the Inglewood county inspector, Mr. Walter Hinch. William Henry Bradford was charged with driving a car on Junction Road on July 14 without being a holder. of, a driver’s license. The inspector said that at first Bradford told him he possessed a license, but had forgotten it. Later, however, Bradford informed him he did not possess a license when challenged, but had claimed to have it because he had' told a woman passenger he did have

one. The magistrate remarked that he going to fine Bradford 10s for telling a lie but as he found it was only a white lie he would be convicted and ordered to oay costs amounting to £1 2s 6d.

For driving an unregistered motor car on the Mountain Road on June 13 Ivan McCullum was convicted and ordered to pay £1 Os 6d costs. For driving a motor car on July 14 without a license Nolan Bracegirdle was convicted and ordered to pay £1 2s 6d costs. He stated that he had forgotten his license but had since procured it. Victor S. Madgwick was fined £1 10s (£1 Os 6d costs) for driving a motor vehicle not equipped with efficient brakes. The inspector stated 'that on July 11 Madgwick’s ehicle. collided with a cow and the brakes were found to be very faulty. The foot brake was useAn order for possession of a house within 14 days and for £l6 10s rent (costs £3 Is) was issued against J. Marshall in favour of Ann Heal. On judgment summons proceedings William Yeates was ordered to pay Thomas W. Ward the sum of £2B 17s 9d (£1 Ils 6d costs) at the rate of £1 a month, in default three weeks’ imprisonment.
