FIGURES OF INFANT MORTALITY.
COUNTRIES OF WORLD COMPARED.

Wellington, Last Night.
Illuminating figures comparing infant mortality rates in 47 countries and showing New Zealand at the top of the list have been taken out by Sir Truby King. The rate per thousand live births in New Zealand last year was 32. Australia was next best with 39. Malta, with 307 for 1931, comes last on the list. England and Wales are eighth with 65 for 1932.
