BRITAIN READY FOR SUSPENSION. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, July 25. At the request of the British Government, Senor Castillo Majera, president of the committee of the League of Nations Council which is dealing with the dispute between Bolivia and Paraguay, dispatched to 18 countries which have not yet replied regarding the suggestion for an arms embargo an intimation that the British Government is ready to order, without any exceptions regarding current contracts, the suspension of the export of war material. The British Government desires to know whether other States are prepared on their part, without reservation and if possible before the end of the month, to agree to a similar embargo.
