UNEMPLOYED AT ELTHAM

REGISTRATIONS- EXCEED 100. There is no appreciable change in the Eltham unemployment ’ registrations. Last week a total of 60 men were in receipt of unemployment relief, five single men, 35 married men with two children, and 20 married men with three or more children. In addition 38 men were employed on farms under the 4A scheme and four under the 4B scheme. Thus, for all practical purposes there are 103 unemployed. The number of men drawing necessaries of life from the Mayor’s Unemployment Fund has increased to 65, an addition of 10. _
