PLAY ON INGLEWOOD LINKS. CAPTAIN V. SECRETARY MATCH. The annual match Captain v. Secretary was played by the Inglewood Golf Club yesterday, the captain’s team winning by two games. In the following results the captain’s team is mentioned first: S. Lovell lost to D. Sutherland 1 down; R. D. Johnston defeated W. J. Smith 1 up; W. H. Meyer lost to A. H. Morton 2 and 1; E. Maetzig all square with F. Partridge; J. K. Hammonds lost to J. Mulholland 1 down; J. M. Blight defeated J. Winfield 5 and 3, Ron Brown defeated H. Hunt 2 and 1; M. McLean defeated I. E. Faris 2 and 1; J. Gamlin defeated C. Douglas 5 and 3. MANGATOKI WOMEN’S GOLF. SCORES IN JULY L.G.U. ROUND. The best cards for the Mangatoki July L.G.U. medal round were: Mrs. H. Lambic 96—19—77; Mrs. A. Xarndley, 105—25 —77; Mrs. B. Harrison 107—30—77. On the recount Mrs. Lambie was the winner. The match for Miss Belcher’s two-day trophy was finished on Wednesday, the

winner being Mrs. B. Harrison with a net score of 151. > The July bogey match was won by Mrs. B. Harrison with a score of 5 down, Miss Belcher 6 down being runner-up.
