MIDHIRST EUCHRE PARTIES. DISTRICT PERSONAL ITEMS. Success was achieved by the Midhirst Basketball Club on Tuesday when it held a euchre party and dance. Players were present from Waipuku, Denbigh Road, Radnor Road, Stratford and Tuna. Twenty-three tables were filled for euchre. The prize winners were: Ladies, Mrs. Jocobsen 1, Mrs. C. Carroll 2; men, Mr. H. Anderson 1, Mr. H. Lutze 2. Dance music was supplied by the Valencia Orchestra, with an extra by Miss N. Anderson. Mr. Mapp was master of ceremonies. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mi. F. Kovaleski and Mis R. Griffin. There were eighteen tables- at a euchre party held on Monday afternoon by the Anglican Guild. Visitors were present from surrounding districts. The winners were: Miss N. Anderson 1, Miss B. Walker 2, Mrs. R. Boyles consolation. Mr. C. Kovaleski is in hospital for an operation. Mrs. and Miss A. Hunter, who spent a fortnight at Auckland, have returned. Miss E. Jensen is spending a holiday with friends a» New Plymouth. Mr. L. Graham, Whangarei, is spending his leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Graham. Mr. E. Tucker, North Auckland, is .he guest of Mr. and Mrs. P. Anderson. Miss Needham, Toko, is the guest of Mrj. Hendry. Mrs. Gunsail, Auckland, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. T. Dell senr. Mr. J. Bonifac-, Mangorei, who has been spending most of his leave with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Boniface, has now deft on a motor tour to Wellington.
