NEGOTIATIONS FOR A PURCHASE.
JAPAN EXPECTING SETTLEMENT.
By Telegraph— Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 7 p.m. 1 Tokio, July 25. The Foreign Office spokesman expects a quick settlement of the Sino-Eastem railway sale negotiations. A generous offer had been made, he added, and it should be acceptable to the Soviet. Negotiations would be broken off jf the offer was not accepted. The price was not divulged.
