RECORD TIME MADE. The Inglewood Cycle Club held a road race to the Meeting of the Waters and back, one of their series of races for the club cup, yesterday afternoon. A good field faced the starter, and excellent time was made to the turn, where the riders had bunched considerably, with the scratch men gaining gradually. On the home trip the scratch men could not catch the leaders, and in an excellent sprint at the finish F. Fussell narrowly defeated Candy for first place. Results are: — F. Fussell, 31m 1
G. Candy, 7.1 m “ R. Kennedy, ' Fastest time: J. Foote, 4(Jm-40s, a record for the race. In the eight road races held this season seven records have been broken.
