' POTATO MARKET UNCHANGED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. The potato market is unchanged. The Wingatui is loading at Timaru to-day and is due to load at Lyttelton to-morrow, and will "be followed by the Karetu on Monday from Lyttelton. The Wingatui will lift a fairly heavy cargo, as it will be the final boat of the month. Values remain at £3 17s 6d to £4 a ton, f.o.b. sacks in, or £2 15s to :"2 17s 6d at the average station. Most of the potatoes north of Wai* makirlri are now out of the ground ani crops generally have turned out satisfactorily. However, in South Canterbury the crop is affected by frequent periods of heavy rain. Digging is not yet finished in mid-Canterbury but the crop appears to be average. Peas are steady in price but the market is quiet. There was a nominal weight of crop this season, but wet weather during the harvest affected the sample of a good deal of it. The proportion of No. 1 grade is comparatively email. It is worth 3s 6d to -3s 7d on trucks.

Oats are creating little interest, Duns being an exception. There has been some inquiry during the week for Duns of good, heavy, dark quality at 2s lOd, f.o.b. sacks in. There is little interest in which is worth £4 ton f.o.b. sacks io Fowl wheat continues firm at 3s 3d i bushel, f.o.b. sacks in. MR. C. W. SARTEN’S SALE; Mr. C. W.
