TWO WORKMEN BURIED ALIVE.

BIG FALL OF EARTH AND STONES.

By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 9.20 p.m. Melbourne, June 27. Buried under 100 tons of earth and stones, when a q ry wall collapsed to-day near Warrandyte, two men were killed and one seriously injured. The victims wer- Walter Black, aged 50, and William Shea, aged 30. Leonard Carrick, aged 28, suffered fractured ribs and collarbone. Carrick, although buried to the neck, was able to direct the rescuers to where he believed his mates would be found.

A stationary motor-truck was wrecked by the weight of the debris which fell.
