WELBOURN AND FITZROY

BOARD VISITS BOTH SCHOOLS. An official visit to two schools in the New Plymouth district was paid yesterday morning by Messrs. S. G. Smith,' M.P. (chairman), J. A. Valentine and W. H. Jones representing the Taranaki Education Board. At the Welbourn school they were met by Messrs. Asquith and Macfarlane (members of the committee) and Mr. J. Brown (chairman of the borough works committee), Mr. F. T. Bellringer (town clerk) and Mr. C. Clarke (borough engineer). The question of putting a road through the school property was discussed.

At the Fitzroy school the board members made an inspection of the classrooms.
